its the last day of this exercise and yday i felt like the day was pretty close to perfect! i guess there is something to be said for this exericse huh? :) So onward to.....
Day 7: Thursday
i love thursdays....they are sort of like the beginnings of the end of the week! and even tho fridays are prob the easiest workdays...there is a special magic about thursdays no? :)
1. so i woke up early for once! even had enough time to have a nice long shower & wash my hair...the weather when i left the house was perfect! sunny with a cool breeze! i decided to walk to the mrt instead of taking the bus like i usually do and it was a perfect morning walk!!
2. got to work, spoke to my boss about my leave next week and thankfully he dint make a fuss...so am flying home for the loong wkend! im suuper excited about it! vin will be leaving for uni in about 20 days so this is the last time ill get to spend with him till his winter hols! plus there is apparantly a group picnic planned to one of my fav beaches for 2 days...its been a while since ive gone to a beach with my parents and it should def be fun!
when i called mom and told her that im taking tues off so will be coming home fri nite & staying till tues eve...she says, "take friday off also na then its a 5 day vacation!" lol...! i told her she is the perfect embodiment of the phrase that its never enough!
im so glad i have reached a medium of peace with my parents...its been a rocky year and after quite some time im no longer afraid or apprehensive of going home...i guess growing up is being done on both sides...they are realizing that its no use pushing me towards something that at this point doesnt exist! (i.e. the perfect guy for me) and ive learnt that there is no point fighting every move they make...its eaier to give in and go with the flow...after all i need to trust my own destiny na?
3. the day was busy with work stuff...working on sorting out some issues...
went for an interesting lunch of a bunch of us who work in similar roles across different product segments in the bank...its easier when u know who your counterpart is in the other segment when work crops up! apparantly the unofficial label for all of us is sidekicks! :D
i also spent a very pleasant evening with one of my colleagues from hong kong! she is here for a course and had some time off in the eve...we were generally chit chatting as she filled me in on the gossip from the hk office...stuff u cant really discuss over mails! haha...it was fun and i realized that i actually have colleagues that i would count as friends...never thought that would happen!
4. rem the conversation i spoke about a few days back? the difficult one? well the guy said he appreciated my honesty...and i realized that i may have actually found a friend in him! im quite pleased about that since he is one of the most interesting guyz ive met recently...he has a thought process which is so tangential to mine and anyone else i know! he called me yday and i realized that im quite glad that i can still make new friends :)
5. okay so this is a tiny thing but after weeks of tribulations, the two lead characters in my currently fav timepass serial have finally decided to get married! lol...the guy lead is extreemely good looking!!! :D and even tho the storyline is a normal love story the actors make it worth watching! :)
and since this is the last day am going to add one more point coz rem like i said - yday was perfect! :)
6. i spoke on the phone to a reaaaly old friend of mine! we have known each other since forever; our parents having been friends for almost a decade! she was away studying in col for the last 3 years and even tho we have not kept in touch regularly, whenever i do talk to her - its like no time has passed! she has found a job and is starting next week and we had a looong talk yday catching up on the last 3 months of our lives (the last time we spoke was my bday!)...
as she moves to the next chapter in her life and starts building her independant life - i want all the good wishes in the world for her! you'll always be in my heart babe and i wish you all the very very best for this beautiful journey ur just beginning!
and so im done! ive realized that its harder that it seems to find things everyday that make you happy! but its an experiment thats def worth it!
try it and i guarantee it will make it easier to look at the glass half-full instead of half-empty! :)

yep yep am going home! home is in jakarta, indonesia...where i have spent pretty much most of my life!
ohh i loooove beaches! most of my vacations sort of end up being beach vacations coz i can never get enough! its been a while since ive gone with my parents tho...so should be fun!
doesnt kerela have like some really amazing beaches...go explore them!! and take loads of pics so that we can see also!

hmm if u liked greys...you should watch private practice (the spinoff from greys with addison)thats pretty brilliant!
some of my other fav ones are house, entourage & gossip girl...i recently watched cougar town which is not so great but good timepass!
and yes it has been a brilliant crash course! but im sooo glad i dont have to think & post everyday! :P

lol yea 'sidekicks' is a strange term...the entry criteria was defined as:
1. job roles involves doing all the work
2. typically we are underpaid
3. our bosses are also constantly grumbling over how we take more leave than is allotted to us...*eyes rolling*
interesting as a person yes...dont think there will ever develop anything more; but then again time will tell!
noo dint meet her...just spoke to her on the phone for a loooong time! yep i do hope all our wishes reach her in time!
going home only next weekend! will def keep u guyz updated! :)
