A tag & updates!

its been a loong time...a whole month is probably the longest ive stayed away from the new blog...and what a month its been! to say ive been busy is an understatement! post coming back from home was a lot of catching up with various friends and a heavy workload to make up for the vacation! when i finally emerged from under that my bro arrived in sg for a 2 week stint!

his trip here was the first time both of us have been with each other for so long without any other family in the picture! it was a hectic 2 wks with us going out almost everyday! had a party @ home the first wkend he was here and that was suuuper fun! it was yet again another mismashed group of people with K inviting her friends & me inviting my random-groups-of-people-who-dont-socially-meet-one-another except for at my parties! :D hehe...i think it went off rather well...or maybe thats my jd-tinted glasses speaking....but well the guest of honour aka my brother was smashed and had a wonderful time...so i guess success? :P :D

the rest of V's trip consisted of a lot of dinners with other friends of mine, movies we watched together and a lot of conversation! i really do miss him a lot and will miss him even more this year after spending soo much time with him over the past month and a half! i love u baby bro! *muah* :)

anyways im finally back to normal life after a wkend of complete hibernation...except for S' hen nite which again was pretty smashing! i unfortunately missed the stripper! :( oh well...with the no of people getting hitched around me im sure there will be plenty of opportunities to ogle random male strippers! :P

im back to blog reading too and one of the tags that seems to be doing the rounds thanks to IHM is 'My Sins against Gender Stereotypes'...it was super fun reading all the different sins by people...and well here's my list to add in!

1. i have no patience to window shop...i either buy something on impulse coz i saw it on the mannequin and liked it or i go out shopping with a specific item of clothing in mind!

2. i take 5 mins to shower; max 10 if im washing my hair...i can be out of my house in the mornings in 15 mins flat after waking up!

3. im horrible at remembering bdays & important dates! only a few friends (i think 5 at the most) & my closest family (parents + brother) have the honour of me remembering their bdays...the rest i easily forget & set outlook reminders! i would also never remember stuff like the first day i met a guy, held hands, kissed him, fell in love, etc, etc

4. i dont have the patience for housework! my room often looks like a tornado just hit...or at best a college boy's room! and ul find me buried under my comforter in the middle of the bed watching movies on my laptop!

5. altho i love dressing up & dancing in clubs...my most memorable drinking nights are with a bunch of friends sitting in shorts @ home and talking about random bullshit!

6. sex jokes, sex talk, thinking/talking about sex...im quite besharam like that! :P

7. i dont have a graceful bone in my body...despite years of dancing classes im known for tripping over air while walking!

8. i like smoking...i think its quite cool! :P

9. i looove roller coaster rides, heights, jet ski's, para-sailing, etc! basically any adventure sports! im an adrenaline junkie!

10. my daily makeup consists of my fav body lotion & deo!

on the other hand i hate creepy crawly creatures, love the color pink & red, can daydream for hours, thrive on a steady diet of romantic movies & books, hate horror movies, love dressing up on occasions esp in indian saree's/ salwar suits, am super emotional and await for my prince charming to come & sweep me off my feet! :P

lol...that was fun! after reading most of the lists i realized that i dont think anyone, girl or boy is completely like their own gender stereotype...i think most of us would fall in the gray category between typical 'men' & 'women' characteristics....the little bit of math that i studied and loved would explain this in the form of a normal distribution curve....very few people actually exist in the extremes...95 percentile of the population actually sits in the middle with a mixture of characteristics! :)

I was eagerly waiting to hear a big good news from your side. Anyways its nice to hear that you had a gala time in the so called la-la land :D with your brother.

About the posts, I’m afraid I missed a real tasty tasty birthday cake…Ohhhh…Do I have to convey my belated wishes? :D :D :D… Glad that you had a wonderful day to be treasured for life.
Can’s stop myself, LOL at the first part of the “Marriage prospects”… The reply from your friend was real fun. Apart from that, why do you expect only guys to make the first move as if you people have no right to make the first move. When you were interested in meeting him and when you felt you had a decent time, what made you wait for his move?
Well after reading about your 180 degree spin, you landed exactly from where you started your journey. Want to start again from level 1 ? :D :D
I have no words left after reading the post, “Love is like riding a bicycle” I can easily say it’s a master piece and the best post I’ve read today. The way you interlaced your feelings is awesome. Loved reading it a lot. I can’t say anything much in general here coz the feelings about love are very unique in every person’s life. Personally I know that skinning legs and getting small injuries can be forgotten easily and we can move on with our regular activities but the injuries on heart will leave a mark on our whole life itself. We are not only afraid of getting our heart break into pieces but also our outlook changes towards life. But the fact remains that we can never forget cycling or swimming once we learn them and a true heart never seizes to spread love no matter how many times it gets broken. Our mind may stop the heart in vain temporarily after a heart break but eventually if something or somebody is worth your love, it will eventually come out.
You are so true in saying life would be incomplete without Love.
Wishing you good luck for your future. And about this post , it was fun reading it and I totally agree with you that 95 percentile of the population actually sits in the middle with a mixture of characteristics! :)
