homecoming
to the place where i grew
to the place that saw
my life in stages

i moved from friend to friend
from one experience to another
the good decisions
and the mistakes

old diary entries
& old emails
a memory suppressed
a life that has past

today i look back
and yearn for what was

has too much happened?
has too much been said?
i dont even remember why
we decided we were not meant to be

so shall we try again, my friend?
shall we build on the good memories?

the love that we had
the many giggles
& the many sighs
of adolescence shared
