Okay since i'm not making any coherent sense....lets go with bullet points!
Phuket
A 5 day trip with colleagues taken during CNY wkend...it was an amazing amazing trip!! We did a lot of sun-bathing, canoeing, swimming in the ocean, drove around the entire island on a scooter (which i even learnt how to do slightly...altho it still freaks me out to take turns...especially sharp turns! we saw an amazingly gorgeous sunset...there is just something so magical about the sun falling behind the ocean! the way the sky changes colours, the way u can see the sun's rays even when you cant see the sun anymore...and the way the stars start twinkling away to glory as the day sets to give a wonderfully warm night!! *sigh* i could spend years looking at the sunset over the ocean and not get bored of it....
the worst part of the trip was actually after! the guy who had his camera and had taken sooooo many pics of the entire trip, he lost his camera before he transferred all the pics!!! so basically we don't have a single photo of our entire trip there! which sux! to the core...and i dont even want to think about it further coz it just makes me super super sad! the bright side is that i made the trip successfully and it was a wonderful wonderful trip! def one that i will never forget!!
Work
has been sooo extremely stressful in the last month! and the timing really sux...with everything else happening, the added pressure of work is just too much to take at times! I took a breather last week tho - had friday off and sort of switched off my brain for the long weekend that i took! In hindsight prob not such a smart idea as i struggle with stuff to do this morning which i could have handled over the wkend! oh well...u lose some, u gain some! ive basically got this conference coming up in less than a week and there is soooo much more to be done. I have no idea how and when this is all going to get done! Apart from the whole conference arranging ive got a gazillion other stuff cropping up which i just dont have time to deal with now! *sigh* please pretty please cross your fingers that the conference goes off without a hitch else im going to be in deep deep trouble with my boss!!!
ohh and the plus part of all this extra work is that i get to go on my first business trip...!! woohoo! well its kinda a failure considering i am going back home! but i dont care...its a business trip & the company is paying for my flight tix & accomodation!! :D
Friends
B is here in SG! im soooo happy he is back! he's been here over a week now...in fact his sister was here too last week and that was one of the other reasons i was busy busy busy! we were off doing something or the other every evening and i think managed to cover pretty much all the touristy stuff there was in sg! She did a lot of shopping, took loads of pictures in Sentosa, bird park, zoo and has happily gone back home! :) S, a school friend of mine was also here from Wed - Sun last week and her coming coincided with a lot of partying which actually deserves a bullet point by itself!
Partying
So there was last to last saturday, which is the day P landed in Sg. There was just her, me and B who went clubbing. Considering that i was quite sick with a bad flu and had taken panadol just that afternoon, i think i overdid the drinking and was quite sloshed that night! altho i was wearing my smashingly lous & totally gorgeous new dress which i bot in Phuket! of course i need to lose a loooot of weight before i can consider wearing it again...but it was nice to not care that i look like a baby elephant for one nite and wear something that is truly droolworthy!! (if i ever get around to it...i might take a snap of the dress and post here!) of course this reminds me that i really need to get back to my exercise regime which has been thoroughly disrupted by my very happening life of the past few weeks!!
the second was mid week drinking on thursday at my fav bars in sg...one is this bar on the 72nd flr of a building that has the most stunning views of singapore from the top! and another is this cozy little place which makes a mean lychee martini!! :D lots of happy drinking surrounded by old & new friends! and a lot of moolah was burnt of course! :P
the last was on friday when i finally held my housewarming party...mixed crowd as i tried to fit a lot of diff groups together and altho it was a littl awkward at first, i think the party went well...a fairly adult party with people breaking off in conversations of 2s and 3s....of course once everyone was sufficiently high, one group departed for clubbing and we danced & danced & danced the whole night away!! after the week before's disaster, i was quite careful with my drinks and despite sobering up by the middle of the night, i had an amazing time dancing away on dhinchak bolly music!
Marriage
updates on the marriage front...ive now met a total of 2 guyz in Sg for marriage...the first was the most awkward 1 hr of my life while i tried to talk to this random stranger who is an expert in giving monosyllabic answers! even my fav dinner place couldnt lighten the tension between us...
the second was awkward for other reasons...i met him with his parents who had come down for vacations...and it kinda started off like an interview with both his parents asking me one question after another...but uncle was quite sweet and the guy is a jovial happy kind of guy who cracked a lot of jokes throughout so i guess it wasnt so bad...
guy 1 is def out of the picture, and i havent spoken to him since....guy 2 on the other hand, we have exchanged a few sms' and chatted online for a bit...i dont know how its going to go and am not sure whether i should be taking it further or not...for now i guess its status quo with him...im going to let him take the next step!
so yea thats whats happening...also i really badly need to catch up on my blog reading...as of now ive got some 250+ unread posts on my google reader! lol!
anyways...how have u guyz been??? helllloooo! :)

Hmm well, you made me very jealous by saying that you got the chance to drive around the entire island on a scooter ;).... I never got the opportunity to use a water scooter which i love to do.
Good to hear that you had a quality time with your friend and his sister. Hope it has given you much needed relief after that hectic work schedule and I wish it gives you lot of energy for your next assignments. Don’t worry about your boss. Just do your best. Nobody can perform well under fear :) and moreover you can actually do well.
And from the way you presented about the bars and drinks, it is actually sounding pretty interesting even though I don’t drink. I’m wondering how you might have felt watching the exciting locations from 72nd floor after getting high.:D(Don’t you wish that building had a dance floor with glass floors to look down while you were dancing?)
And finally to the most interesting part :P,,,, It seems you got impressed with the second guy :). Well then why you want him to take the second step???

i did both this time - the land scooter & the water scooter! and both were amazingly fun!! :D
its more stress than fear...and actually considering i think i work better under stress than normal...prob coz im a major procastinator...and will procastinate till i absolutely cannot anymore!!
hmm actually no! i would be terrified to dance if it had a glass dance floor! i like heights but only when i have solid ground beneath me!
the second guy...not so much impressed as okay as least he is better than the first! lets c how it goes...

Do you know the fact that a procastinator always outperforms others when it matters the most or when there is high pressure.:)

About glass floor....Hmmmm try it once if you ever get a chance. If not now, when will you do such adventures? Dont be afraid of anything...Just take someone with you whom you trust and thats it.Defly you'll love doing it.
Well if that guy is better... then why do you have to wait for his move? Why dont you take the lead? Why dont you make a move yourself?Dont see how it goes, just see how you want to take it.Who knows mayyyyy beeeee he is the right one for you. :)

yep thats true...but sometimes when u r working on such high pressure u tend to overlook certain details which can effectively prove disastrous!!
glass floor - have tried walking over one in Macau...they have a tall tower where the topmost level offers amazing views and they have glass floors on some parts...its quite scary and very unnerving to be standing over basically nothing!
i don't want to take the lead coz im not sure about this entire process...i still havent thrown myself into it 100% and am sort of sitting on the fence waiting for something to push me either way...and until that something comes along - im not going to actively participate...!
Yes I do agree that you are absolutely right in saying that sometimes we may overlook certain details while working under high pressure. But then when we are speaking about ‘sometimes’ then it is just a chance (I don’t like to use probability ;) ). So don’t worry about it. I have that faith in your work. Hence next time I’ll not be content with just Ghee Shakkar :)
On a different note…In our local language there is a funny way of addressing a person sitting on a fence :D. I’m still smiling at the way you pictured yourself sitting on fence. By the way I did not suggest you to say yes or no. In fact no one can take such important decision without knowing him completely.
Actually I have seen many female souls around here who follow the decisions or directions of the male. Hence you being my friend, I wanted at least you to take the lead instead of following someone’s directions. I mean instead of you jumping either way, you can do like this… Meet him some more times and then depending on your likes, decide whether to push it away or pull it onto your fence :D
Mind you there is a lot of difference between something pushing you down the fence…. And…. you yourself pushing it away or pulling it up the fence :)
All these days I saw you as a unique girl who lives on her own terms and conditions. And believe me I like that trait a lot in girls and I want to see you like that forever.
I wish my friend sunshine to be in control of the steering of her life always :D.

@ Asif: apologies for the late reply...work has just been insane! im here and hopefully have not overlooked anything! we shall figure out in the next two days if i have!
the problem with steering your own life is that you've got to be absolutely clear on where you want to go...else you'll just end up steering in circles...and well thats exactly what happens with me sometimes...i have this vague idea of where i want to go but no definite plan...but well i have faith in my self and im sure ill get there somehow! its just a matter of time! :)

@ Nancy: riding on the scooter was prob the highlight of the trip!! :) and yes i plan to do just that...just go with my gut feel on things...its gotten me this far and i trust my instincts to take me where im supposed to be! :)
