- Hong Kong: the rest of the trip which i wanted to chronicle...well that will prob not happen now considering ive gushed about it enough to everyone around me! needless to say it was a brilliant trip & the numerous pics & soveniors that i brought back will always remind me of that! :)
- Work: i finally started in a new dept last week...am super glad to be moving to something different and yet at the same time there is a pang of moving on! Noone really articulates how difficult it is to move on...whether it is a job, a relationship or just life...its always hard! to see my created files & reports being used by someone else in obviously a different manner....well its challenging! but yes a part of me is grateful - i was stuck in rut and this new role is super exciting & fun!! im learning a completely diff side of banking and so far its been great! :D *fingers crossed*
- i spent the most amazing evening at marina bay sands! the infinity pool on the 57th floor that plunges into nothingness is absolutely gorgeous! and the sg skyline from up there looks amazing!!! :) my iphone does not do justic to the view...but yes def one of the most amazing views ive seen in sg!
papa was here on work and he got a good deal at the MBS - annnd since he had an evening cocktail i was basically free to roam around the entire evening! i looove hotels! there is such an air of excitement! plus i met R after ages, which is always fun! we spoke of a lot of things...and honestly that guy manages to surprise me everytime we meet! he is def one of the most intriguing guys ive met so far...and considering how short it generally takes me to figure out what a guy wants - i just cant read him!! but then again that could be a good thing and for now im going to give up on trying to figure him out and just enjoy his company :)
i had also gone home for the wkend to play dandia and it was aweeeesome to say the least!!! i hvnt played dandia in 6 years since i left home and despite missing P a loooooot; it was tons of fun! :D
weight watching is i think finally getting on track! my dad has *finally* stopped giving me a lecture every time i see him on how im heading for an early death from obesity! *eyes rolling* and in fact one morning as i was leaving for work even said, "you look good in your work clothes!" yay...! :) yoga has paid off...now if only i can stick to this!!!
travel is finally happening!!! ive been dying to travel somewhere since forever and yes HK happened but i need to keep travelling to be happy!! im finally flying down to india in nov! gonna be there for abt 8 days the week after diwali wkend...any bloggers in bbay who would like to meet moi? :) i also have to book my tickets to S's wedding in Jan! am super glad to have travel plans finally!
bro told me about this new iphone app, 'WhatsApp' which connects other iphones & bbm users! it is by far i think the most useful app ive discovered! ive caught up with 2 old friends over the last week and will even be meeting up with one of them on sat! its been a looooong time since ive seen him and a lot has been happening on both ends! of course ive also spoken or rather chatted more to my bro in the past 3 days that in the last 2 months! so its all good :)
i have also finally finished the millenium trilogy! i had read the first book, the girl with the dragon tattoo loong back in early 2009! had bot the 2nd book, the girl who played with fire back in apr/may this year but never got around to reading it! finally started it in jul sometime and really loved the book! my bro had bot the 3rd one, the girl who kicked the hornets nest for his looong flight back to US and refused to give it to me when i went home in aug! finally borrowed it off my colleage K and just finished it last weekend! even tho larsoon tends to write in a very very detailed manner (sometimes even when not required) i def admire his plot structuring! the books are pretty good and they keep you hooked till the very end! the 3rd book i think would def benefit from having a glossary of names! it was super difficult keeping track of all the swedish names and i even made myself a tiny glossary on my board as i reached the middle of the book!
the ex finally has internet on board! have been emailing him back & forth quite a bit in the past few weeks and im hoping we have reached a medium of peace where we can speak to each other occasionally without it having any fallouts!
i have also been going to a lot more new food places recently and i def want to do a food update...but i think that should be left for another post!
well there isnt much else and im def going to try to be more regular about blogging from now on! ive done enough sulking....and i miss writing!
ciao!
